Abstract: Join the Biofilm Revolution!

Dr. O’Beirne received her dental degree from the National University of Ireland in Cork and a Certificate of Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Department of Periodontics, with a facilitator role in the Interprofessional Education Program. She is credited with publication of “Efficacy of a Sonic Toothbrush” and continues to investigate oral hygiene solutions that incorporate recent technological advances.  A committed educator, she lectures regularly on topics related to periodontal and peri-implant health.  Dr O’Beirne and her family reside in Seattle where she maintains a private practice specializing in periodontics and implant dentistry.
