Dr Patricia Neville (PhD MA BA) is a sociologist and Lecturer in Social Sciences at Bristol Dental School. Since joining Bristol Dental School she has been Theme Lead for Personal and Profession Development and Ethics, Law, Professionalism and Social Accountability. Her research interests cover the sociology of health and oral health, health professions and professionalism and gender and diversity issues within the dental profession. Her research has been published in British Dental Journal, European Journal of Dental Education, Community Dental Health, Health: An Interdisciplinary Journal. She is member of the UK Council of Dental Teachers of Professionalism and has been an invited speaker on dental professionalism and gender and diversity issues in the profession. She holds a BA and MA in Sociology from University College Cork and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Limerick.
